Christmas Cards

This year I decided to do a little bit of a DIY project to hang our Christmas cards. It was very inexpensive and easy. I just hung up ribbon on the banister and took clothes pins and hung up the Christmas cards. I think it looks great and festive.

Banner

Yesterday we adopted a new member into the clan! His name is Banner! Welcome to the family little guy!

Animals in the backyard!

Yesterday while Thomas and I were removing the old compost pile that the previous owners left we found.... Can you guess? We're not sure what animal it is but it's defiantly baby and mammal. We called the Texas Parks Department like we were told and they said to let them be. WHAT!?!

Since the last week in August we've been getting up and walking with my mom to walk my younger siblings to school. We extended it to 2 miles and now it's even longer. We are now walking 3.1 miles everyday in order to get ready for a 5k in February. I just ordered my new running shoes so next will be to start running part of the 3 miles. This is Emma and I getting ready to walk.

Inner Space Caverns

This week the family and I went to the inner space caverns to investigate. It was really cool! Other than the almost 100 percent humidity in some parts of the cave, Emma even enjoyed it! One of those cool things to see in your own area!

Ergo Baby Carrier

I just recently bought the ergo baby carrier. I love it! I would recommend this to all moms! I originally got the Chicco baby carrier. It was good except that it was difficult to get Emma in and out of. I just wish we would've spent the money and used it from the beginning. I also can wear this one for long period of times and my back doesn't hurt like it did with the other one. This is a highly recommended product. Plus Emma likes it!

Baby time

Yesterday Emma and I went to the library for baby time. Emma had so much fun she loved listening to the books and singing songs. I believe though that Emma's favorite part was the parachute. As you can see she was a very good student!

Laughing

I got Emma to laugh, it's super cute!

Sweet potatoes

My baby girl has been growing up so fast! She has recently started trying purées. Today for lunch I made her sweet potatoes, she loves it.

Sweet Potato Recipe:
Cook a sweet potato in the oven for an hour. Let cool and then peel the skin off, put the inside in the food processor and blend. Use water to help give the consistency that you want.

Making an effort!

I've been reading my friends blogs and have come to the conclusion that I need to make more of an effort to add to my blog and our adventures as a family. It's been a while since I've blogged so here's an update: I am now a mommy! My pregnancy was an adventure and a hard one at that, now I have overcome that and settled into being a Mommy of a baby girl Emma. My world has been so wonderful, these past four months!
